Deontae Smith, was Born December 11, 1989 . Deontae was murder in Chicago, Il Due to gun Violence. on August 1, 2009. At an unauthorized Block party where two girls got into a fight. And someone in the crowd decided to start shooting and he was accidentally killed, it was at least 200 people out. Many was there and left before the shooting, but of course no one seen anything...This is what they call the code of silence. Deontae case is still unsovled. Deontae was also attending college He said he wanted to help people to make a difference for his daughter that he leave among us,That carry his bright smile you will never know if he was having a bad moment because he was always smiIing to vision his smile, will give you joy, his mannerism was always polite. Deontae, was always trying to help someone even when he couldn't. People will always say he had a old soul and where did you get that old man . He was always trying to make people laugh. He love animals and he love people he was the kind a person if you ask for his shirt he will give it to you.There was nothing about Deontae that people didn't like. When we see the stories of violence in our community, many of us believe we are shielded from the risks of where we live, the color of our skin, our level or education or our economic status. We need to understand that victims of violence have no specific address or race — all of our young people are at risk.Deontae believed he could make a difference in people and in the short time he was here, he did. Deontae love working with the kids at Chicago Park District where he volunteer.To see the look on his face when the kids was smiling was priceless so this organization, was created to help our youth.We cannot give up on them.
