Youth who meet proficiency requirements for their grade level are better prepared to meet needs of employers.

Be able to devote up to two hours per week to tutoring

If a tutor is unable t o lead a scheduled tutoring session, the tutor must notify the program coordinator to permit the coordinator to schedule a substitute tutor

Tutors do more than provide academic instruction. They also provide much needed: Conflicts resolution *Social support*Encouragement*Problem-solving* guidance

Agree to have no personal communication outside of the tutor session with your student. The students will be known to each other by their first name and tutor by their last name.
